About the Mission

The Embassy in Brussels was established in 1978 to promote bilateral relations between Kenya, the Kingdom of Belgium, and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg as well as expand, consolidate and strengthen relations with the EC in various fields such as Finance, Trade and Development, Tourism and Education among others.

Mandate of the Mission

To promote and enhance bilateral relations between Kenya, the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

Strengthen relations with the European Union (EU), the World Customs Organization (WCO), the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States and other international organizations in the areas of trade and development, investment, tourism and education.

The role of the Embassy
Promote and enhance bilateral relations between Kenya, the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg;
Strengthen relations with the European Union (EU), the ACP Group of States and other Non- Governmental organizations based in Belgium and Luxembourg
Promotion and marketing of Kenyan products in Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union;

  2. Promotion of foreign direct investment to Kenya;
  3. Promotion of Kenya as a viable investment destination
  • Promotion of Kenya as a suitable tourist and conference destination

  • Lobbying for Kenya’s and Kenyans candidatures to various international organizations or to host various international meetings;
